The Settings tab lets you fine-tune how your chatbot behaves, what language it uses, and how creative its responses are.AI Model
Chatref uses frontier AI models to power your chatbot’s responses. These are among the most advanced AI models available, designed to understand natural language and provide helpful, accurate answers based on your training data. You can select which model your agent uses from the Model dropdown in Settings. Different models may vary in speed and response quality.You don’t need to understand how AI models work to use Chatref. The default model works great for most use cases.
Temperature
The Temperature setting controls how creative or focused your chatbot’s responses are. It’s a slider from 0 to 1.| Setting | Value | Best For |

Response Length
The Max Tokens setting controls how long your chatbot’s responses can be. A higher value allows longer, more detailed answers. The default is 2000, which allows for comprehensive responses while keeping them readable.- Lower the value if you want shorter, more concise answers
- Raise it if your chatbot needs to provide detailed explanations
Language
Chatref supports 11 languages for the chat widget interface. When you select a language, the widget’s built-in text (buttons, placeholders, etc.) appears in that language. Supported languages:| Language | Code |

The language setting affects the widget interface text. Your chatbot’s AI responses will naturally adapt to the language your visitors use in their messages.
